People who live in the State of Ohio have to maintain Ohio auto insurance or financial responsibility in order to drive in Ohio. The Ohio auto insurance requirements under Ohio State law, requires financial responsibility in the minimum amount of $12,500 for bodily injury to or death of one individual in any one accident, $25,000 for bodily injury to or death of two or more individuals in any one accident, and $7,500 for injury to the property of others in any one accident. While these are state minimums it is often wiser to carry higher insurance coverages.
